High tops in the classic plimsoll style -- anyone besides Momentum doing this?

I just got a pair of Momentum "George Oxford Boot". They're brilliant! I see in the UK and Europe, plimsolls have made quite a comeback, and it was a only a matter of time before a high-top version was made. I see everybody and their dog are coming out with a sneaker version of the 'Chukka' style of boot, but very few have made a high-top version of the classic plimsoll (when I say 'classic style', think Momentum's "Roger II" for example). The "George" is nice, but the padded top is a little derivative, and I'm not wild about elongated toes. Shoelab makes a hightop plimsoll (the "Kooky", you can see it over at Topman), but for some oddball reason they are lace up [i]and[/i] have a side zipper, and are only available in canvas.Sooooooo.....is anyone aware of anybody else who is making a plimsoll boot in the same cut as Momentum's "George" in leather? Thanks!

Just bought myself a new pair of JO GHOST LAYERED ZIP BOOT 320409. They are awesome! A little bit querky but I think they will look good with my jeans. What do you think? Also, I have a moan. I was in holiday recently and found a pair of boots in Schuh at Galway. Unfortunately, I could not take a decision to buy them, so we (my friend, who was absolutely glowing for this boots! and me) traveled further to another irish city.After that, I always looked out for Schuh and THIS pair of Boots. But - nowhere!So help me, Folks!It is a pair of boots, not so high and not an ankle boot. It's a sort of purple colour.Can anyone help me find this absolutely fantastic boots? Recently received my new Bronx Dessa knee highs and think they are fabulous and even better now they are only £40!!! The lining of the boots are lovely and they are so easy to walk in......if i was rich i'd buy a pair for each day of the week!!If you have large calves then they may not be for you as they are fairly slim!Next on the agenda are the Morgan Debbie II....better start saving i think!

Dissapointing Dr Martens

I bought the DM CHARLIE ASSYMETRICAL PUMP in October 2006 (6 months ago). I paid 75 euros for them. I am very dissapointed with the sole of these shoes. 6 weeks ago the star like pattern on the outer sole has dissapeared and has small slits have appeared where worn. There is no grip with them and I now cannot use them in the damp/wet (yeah and I live in Ireland) as the water leaks into the shoes. I have worn them for innner city only. They are my work shoes so I have worn them most days. I have worn docs before in the same way and not have any problems like this! I notice the Dublin shop no longer sells them in their shop. Very dissapointed with this product. Would not recommend any of the docs shoes with that type of pattern on the sole of their shoes.
